About Us
Abric Pallet is a family-owned business founded in 2012 by Frank Zasadny, Jr. When Frank was deciding on a name for his company, he remembered something another business owner told him 40 years ago; “make sure to start the name with an ‘A’ so it will be first in the yellow pages.” Now, of course, everyone uses the internet. Abric is a hybrid name; A (so it would be first), BR for his son, Brandon, and IC for his son Eric. In addition, in 2017, Eric joined the company and is now working side by side with his father as Operations Manager.
Frank began his career while owning a box truck delivery service for many years. An opportunity presented itself where he could buy broken used pallets, repair them, and then resell the wooden pallets to manufacturing companies he dealt with. Soon the pallet business was growing, which required the need to rent space and purchase machines to help streamline the repair of unusable pallets. As the company grew and the recycled market became volatile, the company decided to change its focus to mainly producing new and custom-size wooden pallets. Today, our business has tripled in size, which has allowed us to expand & move to a new, larger manufacturing facility in Joliet, near all major Chicagoland expressways, allowing for ease of transport.
Abric Pallet manufactures standard, custom, heat-treated, and GMA food-grade wooden pallets in Chicago using hardwood and softwood, which meet or exceed our customer's specifications. In addition, our wood pallets and lumber are always stored inside, out of the elements, so that pests and weather cannot damage them. In today’s market, more and more custom-size wooden pallets are required for a multitude of different products. If our customer is unsure of what size they need or how the pallet needs to be constructed for the weight requirements of their product, we can provide a sample pallet. If slight revisions are needed, another sample pallet can be provided as well. Contact us with any questions you may have.
